Admission: Portfolio & Interview

Faculty conduct interviews in January/February, and late March/April for admission into the program.

Apply early (before January 15th) to be considered in both rounds of interviews!

To secure an interview, you need to submit a portfolio through Slideroom.

Portfolio should showcase your passion for costumes and the arts.

This can include photos of costumes you have created for Theatre, Film or Cosplay, including Halloween as well as (costume) sketches, paintings, photography, and any other art medium!

We also require samples that display your current sewing abilities. A specific sewing sample list to be included in your portfolio is provided below.

The sewing samples are utilized by the faculty to determine the level of the class rather than acceptance into the program.

Show us your interests - apart from costumes, we love to see any art, sketchbooks or craft projects you have!
